Most freestanding machines supplied by GVS are compatible with the Vending Miser System. The system reduces a machines energy consumption by an average of 46% - this means 1000kgs of CO2. Infrared sensor sits on top of the machine and automatically detects its surroundings, including the room's occupancy levels and outside temperature so that it can power down and repower at intervals which ensure consistent product quality and minimum energy consumption. This is particularly useful on 24 hour sites such as hospitals.
GVS is increasing its environmental committment with the addition of LPG vehicles, to it's already extensive fleet of dual fuel Astras. The specially adapted vehicles, which are based predominantly around London, offer significantly lower emissions (15% less CO2 then petrol powered) and therefore less environmental damage.
